The Boone River and Webster City are home to Iowa's first Protected Water Area, multiple recreational trails, 1000's of acres of public recreation land, and of course the BOONE BASH RIVER DASH. 

Come join us for a weekend full of canoeing/kayaking, games, awards, good food, and entertainment on June 7th, 2008.

Events and Activities:

Briggs Woods Park (South Boat Ramp) - 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.

Canoe and Kayak Races

  • June 7th at Briggs Woods Lake 2 miles south of Webster City, IA
  • Registration from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.
  • Multiple classes and divisions - check out the registration form for more info
  • Awards (following the race at West Twin Park @ 5 P.M.)
  • Cost is $5 per person
  • The Iowa Soybean Association is sponsoring farmers and ag producers - their entry fee is free. Also a special award to the "fastest farmer".
  • Rentals are available locally and at registration: 515-832-3631 (Executive Inn and Outfitters)
  • Free Camping at Riverside Park (to those who register for the canoe/kayak race) - camping will be prohibited from 9 A.M. - 4 P.M. the day of the races.
  • T-shirts are available for sale at Briggs Woods and West Twin Parks
  • Everyone entered will have a chance to win a major prize.

BRIGGS WOODS PARK - 2:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.
